For more than 20 years, Paul has been partnering with clients to build and transform brands and accelerate their growth to meet and exceed business goals. Paul believes that the best brands are derived from the best strategies, and it all starts with establishing a strong throughline across brand, culture, and business. This throughline is grounded in strategy and expressed through powerful creative work at every banding touchpoint. His expertise is at the intersection of brand and creative, having spent the majority of his career straddling both sides as a brand strategist and a creative director.
Since 2016, Paul has been part of the CSpence Group as their lead creative strategist for clients including the American Institute of Architects, Aurora Health Care, The Promiseland Project, and Kaiser Permanente. In the education and career readiness space, Paul has worked on brand development for the Make It Movement, brand identity for the District of Columbia Public School system, and purpose development and brand positioning for the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Prior to working with CSpence Group, Paul served as the Creative Director at Vermilion where he led a design team to create award-winning work for consumer products clients Whole Foods Market, IZZE Beverages, and Celestial Seasonings; technology startups Tendril, Revolv, and Opower; and institutional organizations the University of Colorado and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Early in his career, Paul founded an advertising and branding agency, which he merged with Vermilion after six years in business.
